Using metal with velvet gives a uniquely rich, intense and reflective surface to any embroidery.
You will have chance to explore the distinctive properties of metals and metal meshes and how these react when stitched onto a velvet backgound. Develop your samples into a panel designed by you with rich, reflective surfaces. Designed as a mostly machine stitching course, this can be adapted for handstitch.
