Stainless steel woven metal fabric, plain or burnished and in different weights. The weave density and wire thickness vary giving more robust or chiffon like feels. A dense weave (higher number) and a thicker wire (higher number) will be a more solid fabric, a wider weave (lower number) and a thinner wire will be more transparent and manipulable, a dense weave with a fine wire gives a soft, silky effect. Because the weaves and weights vary, they are split into 4 groups. Group 1 is a denser weave and thicker wire, Group 2 is a wider weave and a thicker wire, Group 3 is a dense weave with a thinner wire, Group 4 is a wider weave with thinner wire. The exact weave and wire may vary within each grouping. Burnishing is all by hand and exact colour and patterns vary.
