Create a project

The irresistibly tactile nature of bark is explored and refined. We will start with some simple design (tracing!) techniques to find the lines and patterns in the bark texture, the better to appreciate them both. Then we use these to create a painted and stencilled background panel and a beautiful textured and coloured centrpiece using woven metal cloth, beads, stitch and wires. This benefits from the use of a sewing machine, but has been achieved in handstitch alone if desired.
